What a beautiful trail the new Homestake Trail in Lead was on June 9th. If you missed the traditional walk you can still take advantage of seasonal walks in the area: Lead, Kirk Trailhead, and Englewood Trailhead, or the two year round walks at Deadwood Gambol or Mickelson. Click on the name of each walk for more details.
Starting May 10th the new starting point for the walks in Hill City is moving next door from the Quality Inn to the Heart of the West Conoco Station at 632 Main St., Hill City, SD. Contact POC Reta Thovson if you have any questions (605) 574-3278 or firstname.lastname@example.org.

Oh what fun! If you are a daily tracker, like I am, then check out this cool new program from the AVA - the 401K Invest in Your Health Challenge. Here is a link to the AVA page where you can learn about the $18 program.
Members and Board Members please note that if you receive a text or voice message claiming to be from our president, Paul Holtsclaw, don't respond to either - instead place a call directly to Paul [(605) 580-0268] to confirm the validity of the message. Paul suspects his contact list has been hacked.
Membership Chair, Beth Hendricks also wanted me to remind those of you that haven't renewed your dues yet that now would be a great time to due so. I am attaching a link to our membership page here or you can go to the MORE tab at the top of this page and scroll down to the Club Info page to get to the membership form.
Also under the Club Info page are the new guidelines and forms for BHVA Scholarship. Deadline for 2018 is March 31st.
One of my goals for 2018 is to bring a Facebook page to BHVA. I will not be updating the Facebook page once it is up and running because I will simply be notifying members and visitors when I update the BHVA website via
Facebook. My hope is a quicker way to notify members of upcoming events and important information.
Would you like to host an AVA sanctioned event in 2018? Please complete the walk form further down on this page and submit to Paul Holtsclaw.
We are trying something new with a slide show for photos - let us know if you like the format. If you have photos you would like to share from our traditional or seasonal walks please email them to email@example.com
This form is a pdf and is the one you want to print off if you want to submit your request via snail mail.
This form is a rich text document that will allow you to type in the form, save, and then submit you walk request electronically via email. This is the one that I use (updated version).
